Your being here and adding your voice to this conversation is very important. We are not counselors, but coaches. We thoroughly research our topics so that we can offer unbiased information as it pertains to women of color and life style issues, concerns and yes, best practices that have an impact on the quality and the quantity of the life we face post menopause.
While we talk one-on-one with each other, or in small groups, it’s time to broaden the discussion, to add our individual voices into one collective voice that can no longer be ignored when it comes to providing quality health care to minority women. So with that said, it is the purpose of this magazine to provide an opportunity for our voices to be heard. This is done by culling the vast amount of information that is currently available, root out what is relevant for women of color, and share it with you as a starting point for you to:
- seek more information on your own,
- be more informed in discussions as they relate to your health care needs, and
- to add your voice as a member of a sisterhood of black and brown women who are experiencing similar life concerns.
